Ricketts won't say if Hendry will be back next season

Despite a vote of ''confidence'' for Cubs general manager Jim Hendry, the team's new chairman, Tom Ricketts, stopped far short of clarifying whether ownership plans to retain Hendry beyond this season. Asked before the Cubs' 7-0 loss to the Dodgers about the likelihood of firing Hendry after this season, Ricketts left the door wide open.
