Photo by Null Value It was the warmest weather we've had yet this year, so it goes to follow we'd have an outbreak of violence. Indeed, seven people are dead and at least 11 others wounded after a deadly night. The Tribune reported six dead while CBS 2 reported seven which includes a later afternoon shooting.

The first shooting occurred around 4:40 p.m. in the Pilsen neighborhood and the last shooting happened just after 3 a.m. in the Morgan Park neighborhood. Four deaths resulted in separate shootings that happened within a 90-minute window, between about 10:25 p.m. and just before midnight. Other shootings occurred in the Back of the Yards, Calumet Heights, and Englewood neighborhoods. The spate of shootings continues what has already been a bloody week in the city with nine reported homicides occurring from Monday to Wednesday afternoon, including the quadruple homicide in Marquette Park, bringing the total to at least 15 murders this week alone.
